About PMCC Training
NCW's training programme focuses on equipping counsellors with communication tools, psychological understanding, and counselling techniques to guide youth and couples toward healthier, respectful, and well-informed relationships. for the purpose NCW has a detailed Training Module in place.
The Pre-Marital Counselling Centre (PMCC) is a flagship initiative of the National Commission for Women (NCW) aimed at promoting healthy, informed, and resilient marital relationships. The Centres provide systematic guidance to individuals and couples planning to marry, enabling them to understand emotional, social, legal, financial, and interpersonal aspects of married life.
PMCCs act as preventive and capacity-building platforms, helping young adults develop communication skills, conflict-resolution abilities, gender sensitivity, and awareness of rights and responsibilities. By fostering informed decision-making and emotional preparedness, PMCCs contribute to family well-being, reduction of marital distress, and long-term social harmony.
